Our Mission
Common Ground is a student-led space for open conversation around difficult and controversial topics. We believe that real understanding comes from talking to one another, especially when we don’t see eye to eye.
Through honest discussion, we work to bring people with very different perspectives into the same room and help build a stronger sense of community. Common Ground exists as a place where people can speak freely without fear of being shut down or dismissed.
Beyond discussion, our organization is a learning space for those who want to better understand views they may disagree with. At our core, we aim to promote empathy, curiosity, and thoughtful conversation—without relying on stereotypes or oversimplified narratives.
