About Common Ground
Our Mission
At our organization, we aim to further understand critically controversial issues through the medium of student interaction. Through discourse between students, we aim to establish common ground between vastly different perspectives, establishing community. Our goal for the legacy of this organization is that it should stand as an oasis for people looking to express themselves in a setting where their ideas can’t be suppressed or discarded. This isn't all our organization does, it also serves as a learning ground for those who hope to understand opinions they may disagree with. We aim to promote empathy among people and a holistic sense of learning separate from the influence of generic and misleading stereotypes.
